It was announced a few days ago that Jimmy Carter would present Bob Dylan with the 2015 MusiCares Person of the Year honor next month in Los Angeles -- but it's now been reported that the list has extended to include Bruce Springsteen, Jack White and more.
The Recording Academy announced Tuesday, per The Advocate, that others to perform at the ceremony will include Springsteen, White and Willie Nelson. The gala will serve as a pre-Grammy event on Feb. 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Other performers include Beck; the Black Keys; Crosby, Stills & Nash; Norah Jones; Tom Jones; Los Lobos; John Mellencamp; Bonnie Raitt; Eddie Vedder; ; Neil Young and singer-songwriter John Doe.
Neil Portnow, president and CEO of the MusiCares Foundation and The Recording Academy, announced the accolade last September and said of the musician: "[Dylan's] body of creative work has contributed to America's culture, as well as that of the entire world, in genuinely deep and lasting ways."
Past MusiCares Person of the Year honorees include Bono, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel and Quincy Jones. Also, proceeds from the even will support MusiCares, which is a foundation that provides financial and medical help to musicians in need.
Two days after the event, the 57th annual Grammy Awards will take place on Feb. 8 at the Staples Center in L.A. The awards will broadcast live on CBS.
For now, go way back with Bob below.
