'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Prison Update: Gia Spends Birthday Without Mom, Family Visitation Scheduled

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has already begun serving her prison sentence. That means that the reality star's daughter Gia had to celebrate her birthday without mom. Although, the family will reportedly visit Teresa this weekend.

Being a teenager is hard enough, in and of itself. However, it's likely even more problematic when your mom and dad are headed to prison.

Unfortunately, that's the scenario young Gia Giudice now finds herself in. Both her mother and father were convicted on numerous fraud charges, and Teresa Giudice has already started serving out her 13-month prison sentence.

Understandably, this is quite difficult for Gia. Specifically, Radar Online tells readers how disappointed Gia is to spend her birthday without Teresa by her side:

"Gia is incredibly sad about not spending time with her mom on her birthday, but, like Teresa, she is very strong...She is going to put on the best face and enjoy her celebration -- and she knows that her mom loves her no matter where she is."

Luckily, it's not all bad news for Gia. After all, she will get a chance to see her mom soon.

According to a number of reports, Gia will get to celebrate her birthday with Mom over the weekend. New York Daily News tells readers that the 14-year-old aspiring singer will see Teresa this Saturday:

"The Giudices will bring a little taste of New Jersey to Connecticut this weekend...Real Housewife turned jailbird Teresa Giudice is getting a visit from husband Joe and daughters Gia, Gabriella, Audriana and Milania on Saturday, when the family will head to Danbury Federal Prison to visit the Real Housewives of New Jersey star."

What do you think about the latest reports? Do you feel for Gia? How about Teresa? Were you surprised to learn the family was going to visit Teresa so shortly after her sentence started?
