USA Cancels ‘Covert Affairs’ After Season Five Finale: Annie Piper Perabo and Ryan Nic Bishop Plot Unresolved?

Covert Affairs has officially been canceled. USA dropped the axe on the series after five seasons. The sudden cancellation means that fans may never know what happens with Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) and Ryan McQuaid(Nic Bishop).

At the end of the fifth season, co-creator and executive producer Matthew Corman spoke with TV Guide about leaving the series on a cliff-hanger:

“We always want to leave the audience satisfied but with questions. Even when we've done things that have been classified as cliff-hangers, we want the journey to have been a fun one and a worthy one, and one that the audience wants to come back for. We probably have left more questions than we ever have before with this one.”

Following the cancellation, Corman sent out a tweet to fans of the series, writing:
