Katherine Jenkins Twitter Defense, Supported by Katie Price and Amy Childs, for Amazing Finish at the 2013 London Marathon...Hallelujah!

Responding to the latest development in this week's ongoing Jenkinsgate, Katherine Jenkins has taken to Twitter to defend herself--all the while receiving support from British royalty like Katie Price and Amy Childs.

In fact, Kath had specific, albeit gracious words for the chief architect of Jenkinsgate, The Daily Mirror's Jan Moir:

So hurt was Jenkins by Moir's hatchet editorial, actually, the singer-cum-runner needed more than 140 characters to vent.

Here, then, is her full, unedited response:

Jan (Moir), I wish you love & happiness in your life. I adore & support other women and I only wish you could do the same. I ran on Sunday in memory of my father & to raise money (£25,000) for an excellent charity (@macmillancancer) who helped him when he was dying. Yes, I twittered about it but I did so to share my progress & day with those kind people on twitter who had supported & sponsored me. I ran in sunglasses because it was sunny. I tied my hair back in a pony tail because I expected to sweat. As if you had some insider knowledge you wrote I was wearing eye shadow, eye liner& lip gloss. Wrong again - none of the above - I had Vaseline on my lips, handed to us by St Johns Ambulance on our way round the route. You can knock me all you like but you cannot take away from me what I know I accomplished last weekend. Next time you run a marathon Jan, I will be the first to sponsor you, because I know how much guts, hard work & determination it takes.

As it turns out, Katherine Jenkins wasn't the only pretty Kate getting defensive on Twitter.

Glamorous Katie Price, too, felt the need to offer her two-bit support.

Not to be outdone (much less, outshined), The Only Way is Essex's Amy Childs chimed in, as well.

Talking on the daytime show Loose Women, the ginger goddess told Andrea McLean, Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin and Jane McDonald, "Katherine Jenkins is absolutely beautiful. At the end of the race she looked beautiful as well."

It was Katherine Jenkins, though, who would have the final word.

Speaking to BBC Radio Wales from her hometown in Neath, Jenkins said in summation:

"My one motivation on Sunday was to remember my dad and raise money for a good cause and the rest of it is pure nonsense," said Kath.

"Let's hope we see her [Moir] running a marathon next year," she added.

Well, as media luck would have it in these social days, there's already a Facebook group urging Jan Moir to run next year in the 2014 London Marathon.
