‘Codes of Conduct’ Helena Bonham Carter Separation Update: Did ‘Cinderella’ Actress Leave ‘Batman’ Director Last Year? [RUMORS]

It was recently announced that Helena Bonham Carter (Codes of Conduct, Fight Club) and Tim Burton (Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman) were separated after 13-years together. Now new reports are surfacing that claim the Cinderella actress and the Sweeney Todd director stepped out on each other over a year ago.

The New York Post’s Page Six column is reporting on an unnamed source that claims Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter have been secretly separated for over a year:

“Tim and Helena have been living separate lives for [more than] a year, and since they separated, they have both had other lovers. The separation announcement was made saying they’d split earlier this year, but they have been living apart for much longer.”

“Both parties are happy with the situation. It is perfectly amicable.”

According to a press statement from the former couples rep, Tim and Helena broke up earlier this year(via E! News):

"Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children. We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time."

The pair met on the set of the 2001 Planet of the Apes remake and have since worked on a host of films, including: The Corpse Bride, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Alice in Wonderland, and Dark Shadows.

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton never officially married, but they do share two children, an 11-year-old son Billy and a 7-year-old daughter Nell.
