Recent Sports Illustrated model (and old A.J. McCarron flame) Katherine Webb will no longer be making waves on ABC's Splash--network television's only celebrity diving show.
At the beginning of this week's episode, the former Miss Alabama beauty queen was seen struggling with her diving practice.
Fighting back the waterworks, Webb would go on to tell the audience: "I went to the doctor and, unfortunately, he told me I'm out of the competition."
After the broadcast, the buxom brunette addressed her legion of Twitter fans:
"Thank you guys for all the support! Means so much. Love you guys."
Thanks to Katherine Webb's untimely exit, Splash producers were forced to result to one of reality TV's most tried 'n' true tropes--they brought back previously eliminated contestant, Louie Anderson.
Back on Twitter, the 400-pound comic had nothing but support for Webb:
"I've really gotten to know Katherine Webb over the weeks we practiced together. She put all that she could into this, and she wanted to go on but she was truly hurt and in pain. And couldn't!"
Meanwhile, Webb's on-again boyfriend--University of Alabama football champ A.J. McCarron--didn't seemed to be all that concerned about his professed boo sobbing all over national television.
Again, according to Twitter, this Tuscaloosa tool (and his awesome chest piece, brah) went and got a bowl of SEC Chipotle.
Come the end of Webb's last Splash, Louie Anderson found himself in the bottom two, alongside soccer defender/mid-fielder Brandi Chastain. The two were supposed to have competed in a male vs. female dive-off, but Louie ended up withdrawing altogether.
"You know, I really went further than I ever thought I could," he said. "And I know I have very little chance of winning this competition."
Louie left, crying, thus leaving the California Storm star advancing automatically to the next round.
Well, at least Katherine Webb will always have her sexy 2013 SI: Swimsuit Edition shoot. And that's a heckuva lot better skin than Brandi Chastain--much less Louise Anderson--should ever possibly show.
Interestingly, Webb is the second celeb to jump ship from ABC's springboard show.
Earlier this season, Kendra Wilkinson left Splash in tears, too. Naturally, the pint-sized blonde blamed her departure on a fear of old age heights.
