While NeNe Leakes is still the most popular of the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast, there isn't much love lost between the Glee star and a few of the ladies on Season 7. According to the latest gossip news updates, both Kenya Moore and Leakes ex-bestie, Cynthia Bailey, are publicly attacking the former Dancing with the Stars competitor. Cynthia Bailey is currently trying to embarrass NeNe by bringing light to Leakes supposedly making light of domestic violence with a Tina Turner put down. Even more concerning are the allegations by one time Miss America, Kenya Moore, that NeNe is bailing on her commitment to donate $20,000 to charity.
NeNe Leakes is the undisputed queen bee of Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she knows how to really push people's buttons when she feels like it.
Cynthia Bailey has had enough of NeNe's bullying and is trying to give her a taste of her own medicine.
Leakes recently put Bailey's marriage to Peter Thomas on blast by comparing it to Tina Turner's violent relationship with Ike Turner in the early years of her career.
But Bailey is quoted by the Inqusitr as claiming that the only person that NeNe made a look bad with her comments about spousal abuse was herself:
"I know that the 'Anna Mae' reference from NeNe was meant to be offensive and disrespectful, however I was actually flattered to be compared to one of the world's most popular entertainers, the queen of rock and roll herself Anna Mae Bullock AKA Tina Turner.
"I hope this was not a failed attempt to make fun of the fact that at one point in Ms. Turner's largely successful career and life she was a victim of domestic abuse.
"All jokes aside, wasn't NeNe herself a victim of domestic abuse as well?"
While NeNe and Cynthia's verbal battle seems to strictly be personal in nature, fellow cast member Kenya Moore claims that she is livid with Leakes because she is cheating the children of Detroit.
Last season NeNe tried to call Moore out be insisting that if Moore actually wrote a check for $20K to the Detroit Public School Foundation that she would match it.
Well, in an interview with HopHollywood.com Kenya Moore claimed that she was furious because, while she had happily given the money to the children in Detroit that needed it, Leakes was acting like she had somehow misplaced her check book (via New Pittsburgh Courier):
"I think that it is typical NeNe!
"She is really, to me, showing the disgusting part of her personality.
"It doesn't have anything to do with me or you.
"Give the money to the kids in the city of Detroit for their education.
"She is a ghetto, classless beast for cheating those kids out of $20,000. They need it. She has it."
While on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last month, the Bravo producer asked NeNe point blankly if she was ready to cough up the cash now that Kenya finally cut a check:
"Oh really, she finally made a donation to Detroit...well, honey, didn't the statute of limitations run out on that?"
What do you think? Now that Kenya finally got the money together should NeNe match it or not?
And does implying that Peter Thomas is an Ike Turner type really diminish anyone that has been the victim of domestic violence, or is Cynthia Bailey way off base?
