God might forgive you, Rick Ross, but Reebok does not. No, Ross, rape and Reebok will not be a rap trinity.
Last month, Mr. Rozay, fellow rapper Mr. Tyga and non-practicing NBA guard Allen Ezail Iverson were on the cover of Slam/XXL pimping--you guessed it--Reebok. A scant three weeks later, with the release of Ross' pro-rape verse on "U.O.E.N.O." courting all kinds of controversy, Reebok dropped Rozay like an oversized sack of jumbo potatoes.
If you haven't yet heard the offending half rhyme, allow us to quote from one of the worst quatrains:
"Put Molly all in the champagne / She ain't even know it / I took her home and I enjoy that / She ain't even know it."
And if you absolutely must, here's the whole offensive thing:
N.B. Rocko has since cut the Bawse Ross flow from "U.O.E.N.O."
"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so," the company told TMZ. "While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse."
Apparently, Rick Ross doesn't even know the meaning of the word.
