ABC’s fairy-tale drama Once Upon A Time has taken us to pretty strange lands. Strange places like the Enchanted Forest, Agrabah, Wonderland, Neverland, Oz, Arandelle and even New York City. Now the show’s executive producers, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have opened up about taking Once Upon A Time to a galaxy far far away. That is right, were talking Star Wars! Could we see Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) with a lightsaber or Frozen’s Elsa using the force in the near future.
Recently, Once Upon A Time’s Adam Horowitz sat down with Entertainment Weekly, where they talked about the one Disney property, everyone wants to see show up in Storybrooke:
“We put a couple of Star Wars references here and there because we’re big Star Wars fans...We’ve had a couple of Tron references, not because of Disney, but because of our own personal involvement with Tron, which doesn’t necessarily mean those are things we want to bring on. As far as Star Wars goes, it’s not something we want to bring on. We love Star Wars.”
Horwitz went on to describe the differences between doing Frozen and doing Star Wars:
“As far as Star Wars goes, there are things that would fit into the world of our show, but Star Wars is not something we want to bring into the world of our show. Frozen was a different kind of thing. It felt like a more natural fit into our mythology, which is why we approached the company.”
What do you think of Horwitz’s comments? Do you want to see Once Upon A TIme go to a galaxy far far away? Let us know your thoughts on the subject in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
