No one won this week’s Mega Millions lottery drawing meaning that tonight’s game has risen past the title the $100 million mark. However, winning isn’t everything. You have to turn your tickets. You would think that would be easy, but two tickets are getting ready expire in the next couple days.
The official Mega Millions lottery website is reporting on a ticket that is about to expire in Texas, writing:
“AUSTIN, TEXAS - A prizewinning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million will soon expire. The Texas Lottery Commission is asking Mega Millions players to check tickets purchased for the June 17 drawing. The deadline to claim the second-tier prize is Sunday, Dec. 14.
“The winning numbers for the drawing were 10-14-24-47-60-3. The ticket was purchased at Sellers Brothers Drive In Grocery located at 220 Preston Street in Pasadena, Texas.”
There must be something in the air, because that is not the only ticket about to expire in this month. There is another 1 million ticket in New Jersey about to expire:
“TRENTON, N.J. - Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director, announced that a New Jersey Lottery player has not claimed their second prizewinning ticket worth $1,000,000 from the Tuesday, December 17, 2013 Mega Millions drawing. She said that the ticket will expire on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 if not validated.”
You better check your tickets closely for tonight’s game. The jackpot has reached a whopping $102 million, and you don’t want to miss out on that.
