Tiger Woods was once known as this generation's best golfer. However, there have been times when Woods showed his disrespectful, poor sported nature. Also, the infamous sex scandal has left a permanent scar on the one-time great's reputation. Now, Woods will have to be on his best behavior -- he will be designing a new golf course for Donald Trump.
Woods turned pro back in 1996, and by the following year, he won his first masters. That same year, he reached the number one position in the world rankings and to this day, he is still one of the world's highest paid athletes.
In 2009, though, Woods' fans learned the star had a much darker side.
It all started when a tabloid printed a story about an alleged affair Tiger had with a female nightclub manager, and from that point on, a scandal erupted that involved transgression after transgression...and apology after apology.
One could say that Woods has never recovered from these events. Moreover, fans realized that not only was Tiger unfaithful, he was a poor sport. According to the Huffington Post, the golfer's behavior at the 2012 Masters tournament was disgraceful:
"...In a foul-mouthed, club-kicking back nine at the Masters that would have gotten you or me thrown off much lesser golf courses. Woods acted like a petulant teenager who wasn't getting his way. He cursed wayward shots, hung his head after missed putts, and took mock swings in anger. To top things off, he kicked his 9-iron about 15 yards on the 16th teebox after badly missing yet another shot."
Tiger may have lost waves of fans with his many scandals and poor behavior, but he hasn't lost his ability to rake in the dough. According to TMZ Sports, Woods and Donald Trump have entered a design-based partnership:
"...[Trump hired] the golfer to design an 18-hole course at his massive property in Dubai. Trump announced the partnership this morning ... saying Woods 'will be a tremendous asset in developing the course at the Trump World Golf Club, Dubai.' Trump has a reputation for running some of the nicest courses in the world. Tiger is new to the design game -- with his first course to open in Mexico by the end of the year. Both Trump and Woods are gunning to open the course by 2017."
One would think that Tiger would do his best to avoid any scandals at this time. What do you think? Can woods hold it together? Let us know in the comment section below.
