Goldie Hawn's daughter may be known as box office poison in Hollywood, but that doesn't seem to hurt her dating prospects too much in Tinsel Town. According to the latest gossip news updates, Kate Hudson is already Dancing with the Stars heartthrob Derek Hough's new girlfriend, despite the fact that her boyfriend/husband-to-be just announced their split via Twitter yesterday. Word has it that the two hot Hollywood blondes were seen making out in front of god and everybody last Friday night at L.A. eatery, Nice Guy.
After nearly five years of trying to grind it out together, Kate Hudson's relationship with British boyfriend, Matt Bellamy, went out with a pathetic whimper instead of an awe inspiring blaze of glory.
According to a source with inside info, who spoke in In Touch Weekly's latest December 22, issue, when Matt called to pull another no-show, Kate just ended things right there over the phone:
"Matt was going to fly and see Kate whole she was on the East Coast, but at the last minute called and said he'd gotten tied up and couldn't make it.
"She said, 'Well, I guess that's it, and they both hung up."
Matt just confirmed that the split is real yesterday via Twitter, but his reps told People that Bellamy and Kate had actually broken up some time ago (via Page Six):
"Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now.
"Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."
It would seem that Kate has at least been single long enough to develop some sort of close relationship with Dancing with the Stars veteran, Derek Hough.
An eyewitness told Us Weekly that they had already seen Dereck and Kate "totally kissing" at Nice Guy restaurant in Los Angeles December 5, but an insider told the publication that Kate was ready to move on after such an anticlimax with Matt:
"She says that Matt's a really great guy, but they're no longer together...[it] wasn't anything big and emotional."
And really...why should ending a three year engagement with the father of your child be an emotional affair anyways...we're not animals.
