It is hard to try and wrap your mind around the right and wrong of Wendy Williams' world. The wig wearing TV talk show host recently put Kim Kardashian on blast for saying that she would support her baby girl, North West, if she decided to pose nude later on in life, the same way she has done. Wendy said that decision should ultimately be left up to Kanye -- presumably because the daughter is his property under ancient Roman law or something like that. Nick Jonas call to casually admit that he lost his virginity years ago despite playing the poster boy for chastity belts and promise rings at the height of his fame with the Jonas Brothers band, however, got a resounding thumbs up.
You would think that someone who claims to be as open minded as Wendy Williams would recognize that once a woman reaches legal adulthood they can do whatever they wish with their bodies, but the talk show just doesn't seem to see it that way.
When Wendy caught word that Kim Kardashian wasn't looking to be the kind of hypocritical parent that tries to forbid her children from doing the exact same things that they very much enjoyed doing when they were a little younger, she flipped her wig.
Williams put the word out through her December 15, Life & Style contribution that it was a father's place to tell his little girl when and where she is allowed to strip:
"After Kim attempted to "break the Internet," she's now speaking out, saying she would support her 17-month-old daughter if she decided to pose nude as an adult.
"This admission is overly permissive -- and just plain wrong!
"If North wants to follow in her mom's footsteps, there needs to be a conversation with both Kim and dad, Kanye West, when she actually is an adult."
But that kind of sexist logic makes no real sense.
It would seem that Kim is supposed to lie to people when they ask her questions as not to give her daughter, who has the cognitive skills of a one-and-a-half-year-old, the impression that at least one more discussion may be warranted before she gets her blessing to strip 32-years from now.
Or worse, Wendy would have Kim kowtow to Kanye's reversal in conscious if he turns out to be as hypocritical as he is crazy and forbids his daughter from coping something that he has reportedly praised his wife for doing.
Surprisingly, however, Nick Jonas virtually gets congratulated for allowing the myth that he is a virgin to be perpetuated for years after he actually had sex:
"I almost couldn't believe it when Nick Jonas revealed on my show that he lost his virginity -- but I'm happy he did!
"I'm glad he feels free enough to admit it, after telling his fans as a teen that he'd remain a virgin until marriage."
But remember, it's not like Nick, 22, got the word out about his change of heart until two years after the fact -- allowing all sorts of children and adolescents to be indoctrinated with a load of nonsense about abstinence in his name (via Us Weekly):
"I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20."
So...just remember kids, whenever someone is telling you about how they think sex is wrong or Holy sacrosanct -- whether its Joe Jonas, Britney Spears or your grandma -- just remember that they aren't talking about themselves...because it's always perfectly fine for them to have all the sex them want, always.
