Country music megastar Brad Paisley needed a little more than 140 characters to make his thoughts known on all the controversy surrounding his brand new song with LL Cool J, "Accidental Racist."
And we quote:
So,as you buy this album,I hope it triggers emotions. I hope you feel joy, heartache, triumph, surprise; you laugh, cry, nudge someone beside you
— Brad Paisley (@BradPaisley) April 9, 2013
...I hope the album rocks you, soothes you, raises questions, answers, evokes feelings, all the way through until Officially Alive — Brad Paisley (@BradPaisley) April 9, 2013
'Cause I wouldn't change a thing. This is a record meant to be FAR from easy listening. But fun. Like life. Have a ball, ya'll. love- brad

If Twitter is any indication (and honestly, who's to say that it's not?), Paisley appears to understand why his song has evoked such strong reactions. That said, he's clearly not going to apologize for it.
Like, ever.
Twitter's not perfect for non-apologies, though, so here he is on Ellen being a bit more candid:
At the end of the day, Brad Paisley is in the record business. And to be sure, this kind of stunt is sure to move more than a few units of Wheelhouse for Arista Nashville during street week.
Regardless, as pop critic Maura Johnston pointed out on Twitter, herself, wait 'til the haters get a load of Paisley's next single..."Those Crazy Christians."
