Miley Cyrus is reportedly dating Patrick Schwarzenegger after her high-profile breakup from Australian heartthrob Liam Hemsworth. As to whether Miley's dad Billy Ray and Patrick's mom Maria Shriver approve of the relation, conflicting reports have surfaced.
Forget what you may have heard, Maria Shriver is reportedly not heartbroken by her son's decision to date twerking sensation Miley Cyrus. In fact, things couldn't be further from the truth.
According to a new report in People, one of the most trusted names in entertainment news, Maria Shriver is happy that Patrick is happy:
"Maria Shriver displeased with her son's social life? Not so fast...While recent Internet reports claim Maria Shriver is up in arms that her 21-year-old son Patrick Schwarzenegger is dating pop star Miley Cyrus, there's no such family drama brewing, PEOPLE has learned...Bottom line, says the source, 'If Patrick's happy, she's happy.'"
That's a starch contrast with reports we saw earlier in the week, all of which suggested that Maria was not pleased with Miley.
Patrick's mom isn't the only parent happy that Patrick and Miley have gotten together.
According to a recent article on Hollywood Life, both Miley's mom and dad are thrilled Miley's dating a Kennedy. One source tells the publication that they've never seen Miley happier:
"Miley's entire family is thrilled that she's found so much happiness in her new relationship with Patrick. They adored [her ex] Liam Hemsworth, but actually prefer Patrick because he brings out the best in Miley. They've never seen her this happy. Both Billy Ray and Tish [Cyrus] feel blessed that their daughter has found someone so special in her life, someone that brings her so much joy and laughter."
