Kentucky has played in 16 Final Fours and 12 Championship games. They have a .762 All-time record. It is easy to see how a team like the Wildcats has united the entire state of Kentucky. Moreover, when a team plays the way they do nationwide recognition is drawn. Also, recent reports have shown that the people of Kentucky love the sport so much that they even associate it with romance.
The Wildcats are undefeated again this year, and when a team manages to do that, they always draw a big crowd. According to Courier Journal, reporters from all over the world have been writing a lot about the team:
"When three top-five teams, as well as No. 19 Michigan State, gather in one arena for an early season college basketball doubleheader, so does national media. And when a team puts on a performance as special as the University of Kentucky's 72-40 rout of Kansas, those reporters and columnists write plenty about the Wildcats."
