No one won this past tuesday’s massive lotto jackpot, meaning tonight’s game has total has risen once again. The new totals for tonight’s Mega Millions lottery drawing have reached a whopping $61 million, with an estimated cash value of $37 million.
The official Mega Millions lottery website is reporting on one lucky winner who has an extra $1 million to spend this holiday season:
“November 24, 2014 - A Detroit native is sure to have a happy Thanksgiving after winning a $1 million Mega Millions prize from the Michigan Lottery.
“Kennedy Howard won the big Mega Millions prize on Oct. 24 by matching the first five winning numbers drawn: 02-14-21-28-55. He picked his own numbers for the winner purchased at the 7-Eleven, located at 35872 Utica Road in Macomb County’s Clinton Township. Howard recently visited Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim his prize.”
The Mega Millions website also goes on to tell the story of another big winner, writing:
“November 5, 2014 - A 10-year Missouri Lottery tradition has paid off for one group of co-workers. A group of 12 federal employees from the Department of Defense have claimed the $1 million second-level prize from the Oct. 28 Mega Millions drawing. Every week for the past 10 years, the group of 12 participated in a pool to purchase Mega Millions and Powerball tickets using Quick Pick from the same Kum & Go, 130 Old Route 66, in St. Robert. The winning numbers drawn in the Oct. 28 drawing were: 3, 50, 57, 58 and 60.
“The group consists of William Bennett, Matte DeJane, Thomas Rebuck and Andy Scott, all of Waynesville; Peter Hundt and Ronald Komoroski, both of Rolla; Frank Beasley and Peter Sjoberg, both of St. Robert; Richard Riebl of Dixon; Tommie Jones of Fort Leonard Wood; Richard Conway of Laquey; and Paul Garrett of Plato.”
