The official Mega Millions lottery website is reporting on the winner of a recent $1 million prize, writing:
“November 24, 2014 - A Detroit native is sure to have a happy Thanksgiving after winning a $1 million Mega Millions prize from the Michigan Lottery.
“Kennedy Howard won the big Mega Millions prize on Oct. 24 by matching the first five winning numbers drawn: 02-14-21-28-55. He picked his own numbers for the winner purchased at the 7-Eleven, located at 35872 Utica Road in Macomb County’s Clinton Township. Howard recently visited Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim his prize.”
The website also details how to play for those of you are new to the game:
“Mega Millions tickets cost $1.00 per play.Players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 75 and one number from 1 to 15 - or select Easy Pick. You win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing. The jackpots start at $15 million and grow by a minimum of $5 million per draw each time the jackpot rolls.”
