Rumors that Harry Styles may be bi or gay have been flying for weeks now, following the singer's somewhat confusing remarks about dating. Those claims were addressed this week by a popular author, who weighs in on what implications Harry's comments may have. Meanwhile, you can check out Styles and the rest of the band tonight, as One Direction performs at the AMAs.
Just can't get enough of the pop boy band One Direction?
Then you are in luck! The boys will take center stage tonight, along with a number of high-profile musicians, as Billboard tells readers:
"The American Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions and are broadcast live on Nov. 23 on ABC from 8 to 11 p.m. Performers at the event will include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, One Direction, Lorde, Fergie, Iggy Azalea and many others."
Of course, this isn't the biggest news surrounding Styles these days. That title belongs to Style's sexual orientation, which remains as unclear as ever.
In two separate interviews, Styles makes comments that seem to suggest Harry is bisexual. Though it's likely Styles could just be joking, his comments still mean a great deal to the gay and lesbian community.
Jeremy Helligar, of Huffington Post, does an excellent job of summing up Harry's unique position:
"Styles, though, is in a unique position. Not only is he saying that it's OK to be gay or bisexual by not insisting emphatically that he isn't, but by playing with pronouns and refusing to definitively address the matter, he's also saying that it's OK if people think he's gay or bisexual. A firm denial would be the standard straight approach, but Styles seems to be saying, 'Maybe I am, and if so, who cares?'"
What do you think about the latest news? Are you going to tune into tonight's performance? Is Harry Styles really bisexual?
