The October 2014 NPD results are in and the Sony PlayStation 4 has once again came out on top. The system has outsold the Microsoft Xbox One despite it’s recent price drop and bundle offers, including Sunset Overdrive and Call of Duty: Advance Warfare. This serves as just one more jewel in the crown of the PS4, which has had a banner year, since its release last November.
Just days away from the its one year anniversary, (November, 15) the PlayStation 4 has once again outsold the Xbox One.
The news is especially impressive considering that the Xbox One has recently reduced its price in order to be more competitive.
PlayStation gloated a bit about the sales, Tweeting:
“The results are in, and PlayStation 4 is the top-selling console in the US for October! Thank you!”
The PlayStation 4 has another reason to celebrate. The smash system is celebrating its one year anniversary this weekend.
