ABC ‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 4 New Episode Spoilers: ‘Lost’ Elizabeth Mitchell Talks ‘Frozen’ ‘Snow Queen’ Villain Role [PROMO] [PREVIEW]

ABC and Disney’s hit fairytale drama Once Upon A Time is all new this weekend, and things are heating up for the Snow Queen. This season’s Frozen themed villain Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) has big plans to tear apart Storybrooke. Check the plot preview below to see what the Snow Queen has in store for Emma Swan and the rest of the town.

The official plot synopsis for this weekend’s all new episode of Once Upon A Time, titled “The Snow Queen,” reads:

“The Snow Queen is apprehended by Emma, who learns about the similarities between the two of them. Meanwhile, Emma observes Mary Margaret's maternal side with baby Neal; and back in the past, Ingrid discovers her powers and makes a pact with her sisters.”

That is right dearies, this weekend’s episode is based on Elizabeth Mitchell's Snow Queen, for whom the episode is titled after (along with the Hans Christian Anderson tale from which Frozen was inspired).

Elizabeth Mitchell has developed quite the fan following from her roles on Lost and Revolution. Recently, Mitchell opened up to Entertainment Weekly about landing the role on the series:

“I always go to that fan site of mine, only because I feel like they know what’s going on before I do. [Laughs] They said something about ‘Elizabeth Mitchell being considered for Frozen part,’ and I was like, ‘That doesn’t make sense. That’s not really age appropriate.’ Then I got a call saying that [executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis] are wondering, if this role came about, would I be interested in doing it? I was like, ‘Yes!’ My manager was like, ‘Give it some thought.’ ‘I did, yes.’ I played really hard to get, obviously. Then [Adam and Eddy] called me and they were so excited about it. We had such a great talk about villains, which I can’t really go into because it has to do with what happens [on the show]. My whole theory has always been that villains never know they are villains. That seems to be the case here, even though she does some crazy stuff. It’s been really fun.”

Tune into the all new episode of Once Upon A Time, this Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. eastern on ABC.
