The superstar who stepped all the way to the season 14 finale of Dancing with the Stars, Katherine Jenkins announces her next release (celebrating 10 years in the industry) Home Sweet Home on January 27 via Decca Records.
Nearly a decade since her debut LP, the aptly named Premiere in 2004--which became one of the best-selling classical discs of the decade--the new album cuts a wide swath across the classical crossover landscape.
Bach, Beethoven, Elgar and Holst all make a contribution to Home Sweet Home, which reflects the classical realm that Jenkins feels she rooted from.
Also featured on the album are international star and violin virtuoso David Garrett ('Ode to Joy') and Britain's beloved tenor Alfie Boe ('Barcelona'). And if that weren't enough, Katherine arranges a new Italian version of the OneRepublic smash 'Secret' (now affectionately reappropriated as 'Segretti').
Jenkins said in a release: "Making this album has been an absolute dream. I am so thankful to be in a place where creativity is encouraged, classical music is understood & where I've been allowed to return to where my heart lies musically."
She continued, "This record is me at my most natural, my most authentic and I can't wait to share it with my very valued fans."
Produced by Patrick Hamilton and recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, pre-orders for the disc can be filed here.
Until then, Classicalites, here she is singing Bizet at New York mainstay SubCulture.
