As of late, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has had a lot on its plate. With negotiations still in the works, musicians and demonstrators alike took to the picket line outside Susan Boyle's latest Atlanta concert-- of which the singer crossed the line to perform.
Protestors were aware of the performance on Sunday, Oct. 26, as the singer was in attendance at Atlanta Symphony Hall to sing. As one would imagine, this did not bode well with the sign-holders.
Boyle, who just recently was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, started her singing career after an astounding debut on Britain's Got Talent in 2009. As she states, it was unclear for most of her life why she had symptoms associated with the disease.
For those unaware, Asperger's Syndrome is characterized by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5, aka DSM-5, as to, instead, be considered part of the autistic spectrum of disorders. A correction from the DSM-4.
If conditions and morale could not be more in the trench, Boyle's latest concert for the company (which sold tickets) could mar her proverbial resume.
And while the protests continue, again, it is urged that the musicians and management find common ground.
