‘Today’ Show Matt Lauer and Wife Divorce: Split Net Worth after Cheating Child Custody Battle? [GOSSIP NEWS]

Apparently, former Today show cast member Ann Curry isn't the only person to reportedly have their lives ruined by co-host Matt Lauer. According to the gossip news reports, the NBC News Network journalist's 2006 divorce papers have him being accused of physical and mental abusing his wife, Annette Roque. Although the Dutch model decided not to split--presumably because she was pregnant at the time with his baby and feared losing an eventual custody battle for the child--she alleged that he was "cruel and inhumane" as well as "extremely controlling" in court documents form that time. On top of all that, a man named, Zoltan Molnar, is publically accusing Lauer of ruining his marriage by cheating with his wife, Jessica Thorman, who appeared several times on the Today show herslef.

It would seem that you can't believe everything you see on television, as reports have surfaces that the Today show's Matt Lauer may not be quite as nice when the cameras aren't rolling.

Word has it that Matt's longtime wife, Annette Roque, wants out of their marriage today every bit as much today as when she accused Lauer of "cruel and inhumane" conduct during their divorce proceeding back in 2006.

A source with inside information claimed in Star Magazine's November 3, issue that the only reason she doesn't go through with the divorce is because she is afraid that Matt will be even more hurtful if she tries to leave:

"She doesn't trust Matt as far as she can throw him.

"Annette is as miserable as ever, but she is scared to leave because of the kids.

"Matt has a lot of money and power, and she would rather be miserable with him than risk losing custody of her children."

As awful as that sounds, one man claims that Lauer also ruined his marriage.

Zoltan Molnar, told the somewhat questionable National Inquirer, that Matt's sleeping with his with, Jessica Thorman--a reported guest on the Today show--had destroyed their relationship:

"He's not the goody-goody nice guy he looks like on TV!"

You knew when he wouldn't let poor Bob Costas return to his desk at Sochi that Lauer was a no good so-and-so, regardless of all the nice things that angel Katie Couric says about him.
