By all accounts getting pregnant was supposed to save Carrie Underwood's marriage to Mike Fisher--not ruin it. But, according to the latest gossip news updates, carrying the growing baby bump in addition to her regular everyday chores is pushing Brad Paisley's CMA co-host to the breaking point. It's said that Mike was threatening to divorce the "Good Girl" singer if she didn't finally conceive, but now it is looking like Carrie may soon be the one ready to split.
For almost a year there were reports in the tabloids that Carrie Underwood was in hot water with her husband, Mike Fisher, over her refusal to put her career on hold for nine-whole-months in a row in order to give them a child.
Strangely enough, now the story has shifted, as a pregnant Carrie is reportedly ready for Mike to shape up or ship out.
A source with all the inside deets claimed in Star's November 3, issue that Carrie has always been the family work horse, but now that it's Mike's turn to handle some more of the day-to-day duties his copping out:
"Carrie has always done the cooking cleaning and the laundry...but it's harder for her to keep up, now that she is pregnant.
"Her schedule is also extremely busy, and it's starting to take a toll on her...She gets bouts of morning sickness and is tired all the time.
"Carrie constantly asks [Mike] to help out more, but he's just oblivious to it.
"It's gotten to the point where she's starting to resent him, and the stress isn't good for the baby."
Thankfully, EnStarz reports Carrie is getting a break from touring over the next few months and only has a couple a dates scheduled in addition to her CMA gig until July of 2015, but at this point being around Mike's lazy bones at their Nashville home may still be way more stress than her baby body needs.
Let' just hope this baby comes out happy and healthy...even if it wasn't enough to save anyone's marriage.
