Lucky for Knocked Up alum, Katherine Heigl, she can't be fired again from ABC's hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy, because Shonda Rimes would seemingly relish the opportunity to tell her off a second time. The famous network showrunner opened up about her style of handling things in a recent interview, and singled out the tragic Greek heroine as the example of the kind of "a--holes" she doesn't tolerate on her sets. Spoilers: According to the latest gossip news updates, Arizona and Callie's marriage is most likely heard for divorce, after even Sara Ramirez, who play McDreamy's baby mama, commented on how poorly her TV show marriage is doing.
There is no arguing that Shonda Rimes has the golden touch when it comes to producing hit TV shows for ABC--with Scandal doing even better than longtime hit Grey's Anatomy just a few years into it's run.
According to Shonda, part of that success is due to how she handle's problems within her cast as much as putting good writers together with excellent directors.
While recently talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Shonda revealed that at this point in her career, when she sees some ungrateful talentless model turned actress bad mouthing her projects, she plucks the troublesome blondes up by the root and throws them out:
"I don't put up with bullshit or nasty people. I don't have time for it.
"There are no Heigls in this situation."
Speaking of troublesome little blondes--original cast member Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie on the show, doesn't appear to be too optimistic when contemplating her character's immediate romantic future.
Sara told Entertainment Weekly that it seemed that Callie and Arizona's marriage was falling apart and in some serious need of attention:
"Everything leading up to this point has been a series of band aids.
"Callie and Arizona are basically not communicating."
Truth be told the nicest thing Katherine Heigl ever did was talk all that nasty nonsense about the show...because without eliminating that annoying character, Grey's would have never made it to its historic eleventh season.
