After Violent Post-Game Outburst, Brandon Marshall Denies Rift Between Himself and Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler

The Chicago Bears are sitting on a very disappointing 3-4 record right now. After Sunday's embarrassing 27-14 loss to the Dolphins, wide receiver Brandon Marshall unleashed a frustrated rant that was meant to occur behind closed doors. Trouble is, the locker room door wasn't closed and his violent post-game outburst was heard by members of the media. Later, he mentioned all the offensive weapons the Bears have, but failed to mention quarterback Jay Cutler. He denies that this means that there is a rift between himself and Cutler.

After Chicago's embarrassing loss on Sunday, receiver Brandon Marshall let loose a tirade that wasn't meant for media ears. He said he meant the things he said, but did not wish them to be consumed by outsiders (via Chicago Tribune):

"The only thing I regret is that the door wasn't closed, you know, but I wouldn't change any of my reaction because it came from my heart, and that's how I felt, that's how I still feel... And 3-4 is unacceptable, but we have everything that we need to turn this ship right now."

Somehow, Marshall's comments have been construed to question whether he is on the outs with Jay Cutler. However, Marshall insists that that's nonsense (via NFL.com):

"I have a really nice condo. And guess what? Jay Cutler built that condo. We're great. We're great. You know, we're like brothers... But if I have a problem with Jay Cutler I'm going to go to Jay Cutler. If Jay Cutler has a problem with me, he's going to come to me. We have that type of relationship."

The bottom line is, when you vent behind closed doors, it helps to make sure the door is closed before any venting goes on.
