The Metropolitan Opera's new season includes new productions like Tchaikovsky's 'Eugene Onegin,' Muhly's 'Two Boys,' Verdi's 'Falstaff,' Strauss's 'Die Fledermaus,' Borodin's 'Prince Igor,' and Massenet's 'Werther.'
New season will include also 'Andrea Chénier,' Richard Strauss's 'Arabella,' Puccini's moving story of young love 'La Bohème,' Rossini's 'La Cenerentola,' Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 'Così fan tutte.'
Anna Netrebko will starr in a charmign production 'L'Elisir d'Amore' along with Ramón Vargas, who will portray her love-struck Nemorino.
The season 2013/2014 will also bring on stage 'The Enchanted Island,' 'Falstaff, Johann Strauss' 'Die Fledermaus,' followed by Richard Strauss' 'Die Frau ohne Schatten.'
'Madama Butterfly' will land on the desks of MET as a co-production of the Metropolitan Opera, English National Opera, and the Lithuanian National Opera.
Mozart's 'The Magic Flute,' Benjamin Britten's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' Vincenzo Bellini's 'Norma,' Dmitri Shostakovich's 'The Nose,' and Alexander Borodin's 'Prince Igor,' and another Bellini 's opera 'I Puritani' won't be missing as well.
The season also includes, 'Rigoletto,' Richard Strauss' 'Der Rosenkavalier.' Enchanting Dvorák's soulful fairy-tale opera 'Rusalka' will feature Renée Fleming, Piotr Beczala, Dolora Zajick, and dynamic young maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
Season continues with Bellini's 'La Sonnambula,' well known 'Tosca' by Giacomo Puccini, new production by Nico Muhly 'Two Boys,' 'Vittorio Grigolo in Recital,' Jules Massenet's new production 'Werther,' and Alban Berg's 'Wozzeck.'
