Kyle Orton Leads Buffalo to Second Victory after Bills Beat Vikings 17-16

Kyle Orton, or Uncle Rico as he is known in some parts, is now 2-1 under center for the Buffalo Bills. The former Cowboys backup quarterback is finding success after replacing 2013 Bills draftee EJ Manuel at QB. Minnesota's rookie quarterback Terry Bridgewater threw two interceptions, but the Vikings seem to be willing to stick with him so that he can learn and grow. He must have learned a few lessons from the Bills' 17-16 victory on Sunday.

Veteran Kyle Orton isn't leading the best team in the NFL, but he has beaten an impressive Detroit Lions team and pulled a last minute victory out of his helmet this week with just seconds to play (via NBC Sports):

"No matter the particulars, the win is what counts for the Bills. They're 4-3, a record that positions them to make a push for a playoff spot if they can find more of what worked for them late and clean up the things that had them in position to lose for all but the last seconds of the game."

By contrast, rookie Terry Bridgewater has a lot to learn before he can reach the top of the heap in this league. But his coaches and his team believe in him, and they are content to see him grow into that role (via ESPN):

"After the second interception, Greg came up to me and told me, 'Hey, whatever is going on up in that head, up in that computer of yours, just reboot it.' Hearing that coming from a veteran, that was just telling me to relax and just play football."

With Orton in the saddle and Buffalo on an upward trend, they may end up being a team to beat, and a potential wildcard sleeper come playoff time.
