Multiple sources have confirmed that Real Housewives of Atlanta's Season 7 cast queen bee, NeNe Leakes, was paid a small ransom to return in 2014, but word has it that the Glee star is looking to quit after her contract finally expires. It turns out a 1.5 million pay raise may not be enough to change her mind. According to the latest gossip news updates, Phaedra Parks, who was recently subtly accused by Cynthia Bailey of cheating on Instagram, is indeed getting that highly speculated divorce from her felon/husband Apollo Nida in light of his 8-year-sentnce to prison. The Hotlanta lawyer confirmed on Ellen DeGeneres talk show that she plans to legally split with the father of her children while he is rotting away in prison for fraud.
When you get NeNe Leakes on your show at this point in her career you are guaranteed that somone will be tuning in, but if you want those numbers, you have to pay top dollar for them.
According to all the tabloids and internet gossip gulags NeNe Leakes is being paid $1.5 million to participate in Season 7 of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
A source who spoke to Star Magazine for their October 27, issues claimed in the publication that the network offered NeNe the money because she virtually had them bent over a barrel:
"Without her, the show wouldn't be the blockbuster it continues to be.
"She made it known that she would need a significant raise to do the upcoming season, and the producers had no choice but to agree.
"NeNe is smart businesswoman...[and] she is the most popular Housewife of all the franchises."
Phaedra Parks may not be the brightest or most popular of her peers, but she knows not to go down with a sinking ship.
During a recent conversation with Ellen DeGeneres on her hit day time talk show the attorney claimed that as she had no idea that Apollo Nida was a bad egg until he called from the police station to say he had been arrested, she would like to kindly havethat divorce now--please and thank you.
Who knows...maybe if he plays his cards right Apollo can star in his own MSNBC Lockup reality spinoff.
