Michael Keaton is a very accomplished and talent actor. However, he will forever live in the shadow of The Batman. Keaton brought the caped crusader to life on the bigscreen in Tim Burton's Batman. Now Keaton is reflecting on the experience, in his new film Birdman. The movie also stars Spider-Man’s Emma Stone, and The Hangover’s Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis has also recently opened up about how managed to lose weight.
In Michael Keaton’s new film, Birdman, he plays an aging actor who made it big playing a superhero. Needless to say, Keaton can relate to the role, telling NPR’s Steve Inskeep:
"He enters a world of celebrity ... what I call 'taking the pill.' He bought the whole thing. You know, the whole thing of: People will love me, I'll be famous, I'll be rich, I'll have a few big houses, I'll have women, I'm important, what I say is important, what I talk about means something, I'm cool-looking, I'm deep, I'm all these things. Because people start to tell you that, or you start to tell yourself that, or you read something about yourself, and actually believe it."
Michael Keaton may have had some trouble shedding his Batman image, but his co-star Zach Galifianakis, has made an transformation of his own. The Hangover star has recently underwent a dramatic weight loss.
Galifianakis recently revealed his weight loss secret, telling E! News:
“I'm just. I'm dying.”
It is good to know that he didn’t lose his wit.
Galifianakis previously told talk show host Conan O’Brien the truth behind his transformation:
"I stopped drinking and I just kind of put the weight off…I was having a lot of vodka with sausage…delicious but bad for you...I was getting into too much trouble with the drinking, so I just kind of stopped."
Birdman is in theaters now!
