Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Host 2015 Oscars After Shia LeBeouf ‘Fury’ Interview? [VIDEO]

As well as things went last year, why wouldn't you ask day time talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to host the 2015 Oscars. According to the latest gossip news updates, now that Easy E has the rumors that she and Scandal wife, Portia de Rossi, are getting divorce/split finally all locked up, she is a virtual shoo-in. To her credit, Ellen was even able to make Hollywood scourge Shia LeBeouf seem almost relatable during his recent interview to promote his new movie with Brad Pitt, Fury. The well-known plagiarist said that he was actually surprised by the out pouring of love he received on when he opened himself up to ridicule following his red carpet brown bag apology. The Indiana Jones joke even defended the folks on the internet that had been so mean to him--evidence that the trolls must not be doing their job.

Since Ricky Gervais has apparently retired from the award show hosting racquet, who in the world could be better to host the 2015 Academy Awards other than the very lady that handled the job so well last year, Ellen DeGeneres?

The good folks over at the Hollywood Life even claim to have spoken with a source that has confirmed that Ellen has already been offered the job by the award show's producers.

Anyone that has any doubts that Ellen and her people know how to make even the dullest of Hollywood bulbs look interesting need to look no further than her interview with Shia LeBeof last week on her show.

During their chat, the struggling actor sat down for seemingly the first time since he started his unexplainable behavior to explain what he was going through when it all went down.

After explaining that he got a little carried away when some soul searching went slightly wayward, LeBeouf told an interesting tale on Ellen of what happened when he invited regular folks off the street in one-on-one to really let him have it:

"We had a table with all these implements...there was an Indian Jones whip and plyers. It was sort of no rules.

"There was a lot of like negativity online...so I though alright let's just see what this negativity is about. And let's invite it in.

"I was sitting in there broken. You know, I was truly apologetic. And I thought that people were going to come in and be super mean because that is what I had been reading.

"But it wasn't that way at all. It was very human. Once, they got in there, everything changed.

"They stopped looking at me like an object and started looking at me like a human. And they were very loving. It was very human...it was nice."

And just like that Ellen has you actually listening to what that Tinsel Town A-hole has to say for himself.

Is there anything that Ellen DeGeneres couldn't do if we'd just let her?
