Pregnant Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher Baby Bump to Host CMA After Divorce Split Rumors Subside? [VIDEO NEWS]

According to the latest gossip news updates, the producers of this year's Country Music Awards are planning to put Carrie Underwood's baby bump on display for all the world to see. Mike Fisher and his American Idol wife have reportedly been working on getting pregnant for quite some time, and have seemingly just conceived at the perfect time for the ceremony. At least all the talk of starting a family and singing at the Super Bowl has broken the cycle of the tabloids reporting the Nashville couple are on the verge of divorce or looking to split. They might as well go ahead and give the fetus a microphone, it couldn't be any worse than letting co-host Brad Paisley go out there live.

After months of keeping there fans waiting, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher finally announced last month that they are having a baby.

According to an insider, who spoke with OK! Magazine for their September 22, issue, it took Underwood longer to conceive than it did to win American Idol:

"Months were passing, and Carrie was beginning to get scared that she might not be able to conceive.

"When a whole year went by, she started to panic...[but] her pregnancy has brought a lot of hope to Carrie and Mike that they'll be able to have the big family they have always dreamed of.

"Carrie and Mike prayed a lot for a baby...They're calling it their little miracle."

Call it whatever you want, the writers for Carrie and Brad Paisley's Country Music Award banter are just hoping the poor prop is good for a million laughs.

Head writer for the award show, David Wild, told The Tennessean that he and the rest of his staff were pretty much planning to base the entire program around the running gag that is Underwood's pregnancy:

"Carrie once again provided a huge spark for us by getting knocked up.

"She gave us the greatest baby gift of all and...so I think (the content) will be a balance of how much we want to go there versus what she'll put up with."

Wild admits, however, that he is kind of looking to Carrie and Brad to hold the whole thing together no matter how strong or weak the jokes may sound on the big day:

"Brad and Carrie are their own entity...That (combination) makes it unique. It's Sonny and Cher."

Wait a second...Sonny Bono wasn't mentally handicapped was he?
