For 2014 ABC View cast member, Rosie O'Donnell, who knew 7th Heaven actor Stephen Collins personally, the news that he is accused of child molestation comes as quite a shock. The returning cohost acknowledge on the day time TV talk show that although it seemed completely out of character from the man she knew, the voice on the confession tapes sounds eerily like Collins'. Collins has been dropped from both Ted 2 and Scandal since TMZ broke the news earlier this week. Speaking of the recently fired--Sherri Shepherd is fighting Lamar Sally tooth and nail over the responsibility of their surrogate baby. Jenny McCarthy's bestie claimed that Lamar planned the baby to get more money out of the divorce and attacked him for selling their little boy's picture to the tabloids.
All of America is seemingly shocked by the recent revelations that a tape exists wherein 7th Heaven actor, Stephen Collins, confesses to sexually abusing underage children, but few minds were blown quite like that of View host Rosie O'Donnell, who knew the alleged pederast.
During an episode of the show this week, Rosie O openly discussed her simultaneous acceptance and disbelief with Whoopi Goldberg and the rest of the girls (via The Wrap):
"In my opinion, he's the Michael Landon of this generation...He always plays the wholesome, loving, caring guy and in real life is that.
"I can say as someone who knows him, it sounds an awful lot like him, or it's a very good impersonator.
"It devastates everyone in the radius of that person because it's a shocking allegation."
Rosie isn't the only one blown away by how little they know someone they once loved and trusted, Lamar Sally says that he is still completely flabbergasted as to what made his wife Sherri Shepherd want to leave him and their burgeoning family (via Guardian LV):
"To this day, I cannot pinpoint one thing that caused us to split up. I honestly do not know what happened. No one was cheating, we didn't fight much and we didn't have money problems."
Sherri Shepherd will be than happy to explain that you should pay no attention to Lamar, because he is a master manipulator that cares more for money than he does the welfare of his new family.
In a quote in the Guardian Liberty Voice, Sherri pointed out that Sally was a real worry wart about people getting their hands on photos of the baby--unless it was at the right price:
"It is interesting how one person petitions the court to seal the file because all the media attention could endanger the child yet pictures of the child are sold to same tabloids and constant pictures of the child are being tweeted out to over 8000 people/strangers.
"Who is doing the 'endangering?' So before you arbitrarily assign 'bad character' and 'poor judgment' to one person why don't you wait for truth to come out?"
It's hard not to come off as the "bad character" when you start attacking the audience after telling the world you don't want the baby you ordered.
