If concertgoers have a penchant for foodie culture, their prayers just may have been answered. The Lincoln Center Kitchen has opened up in Avery Fisher Hall and is actually something to be excited about.
Imagine: eating a gourmet meal while the orchestra resonates through the halls of the café. Robert Sietsema at New York Eater stopped in for a quick bite when he realized most of the patrons were decked out in full theatre attire.
The menu strives to bring patrons the best in great American standards. Everything from deviled eggs with delicate slits of bacon to a wild mushroom popover seemed to hold it down. But while the food delivers, it's not for a nominal fee.
From the talents of Chef Ed Brown and Executive Chef Daniel Anconetani, the seasonal American hotspot is a good place to dine before a program of Mahler's First Symphony, Joshua Bell, Renee Fleming or, for that matter, anyone.
A good place to stop by in your tuxedo (but as Sietsema notes: not if you're drunk) the knew LC Kitchen is a must-see even if for just a French 75.
