Tonight, CBS’ all new hit hacker series is Scorpion is all new. For two weeks in a row the new geek drama, starring Elyes Gabel (Game of Thrones) and Katharine McPhee (Smash), has raked in the viewers. Check out the preview of tonight’s new episode to see what will the new drama is about this week.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Scorpion, titled “A Cyclone.” reads:
“A bomb strike threatens the Internet infrastructure for the entire Southwest. Meanwhile, Team Scorpion fails a military training operation and becomes determined to prove themselves.”
The first episode of the series brought in an amazing 13.83 million viewers. The series got a great start following two episodes of the super successful Big Bang Theory.
Last week, the show maintained the number, raking in an impressive 13.36. It looks like that Scorpion might just be around to stay, and that is no surprise considering the show has been compaired to The Big BangTheory from the start. Executive producer Nick Santora spoke with reporters at the Television Critics Association fall previews about the comparisons (via TV Guide):
“The truth is while breaking the show and the characters and coming up with ideas that kind of all came together, it was brought up at some point by someone at CBS who said, 'Oh, wow, this is like Big Bang Theory in the field,’ And so I went, 'Yeah, it is.' [I was] smart enough to fake it and lie."
