Pregnant Carrie Underwood Baby News: Mike Fisher Super Bowl Wife Reveals Anxiety [VIDEO UPDATE]

According to the gossip news updates, Super Bowl half-time Instagram star Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher had been trying to get pregnant for about a year before the American Idol finally conceived, so you think they would have had time to prepare for the baby. But the country music star recently admitted that she and her hockey playing husband have had very little hands on experience at this point. The "Something in the Water" singer says that they are both, of course, very excited, but almost have an anxiety attack every time they go to Babies R Us.

Country music star Carrie Underwood made no secret that she wanted a baby with Mike Fisher sooner than later, though it seems later was what she had to settle for--until now.

A behind-the-scenes source told OK! Magazine for their September 22, issue that Carrie and Mike had been trying to get pregnant for so long that they were starting to get a little frustrated when a miracle happened:

"Months were passing, and Carrie was beginning to get scared that she might not be able to conceive.

"When a whole year went by, she started to panic...[but] her pregnancy has brought a lot of hope to Carrie and Mike that they'll be able to have the big family they have always dreamed of.

"Carrie and Mike prayed a lot for a baby...They're calling it their little miracle."

Having all that time to think about getting pregnant apparently didn't translate into a ton of real-world research; Carrie admitted on CMT Hot 20 Countdown that a trip to a Babies R Us practically sent her into a tail-spin (via ABC News):

"We were like walking around and I was like, 'This is just so overwhelming!'

"I just don't want to get the wrong things and I don't know what most of it does. There's, like, 5,000 different things to choose from.

"Is my kid going to be like, 'I didn't have this when I was a kid?!'"

Feeling slightly more confident on the Today show Underwood explained that she had a pretty good example growing up, so she is sure she won't do too bad a job at being a mom herself:

"I have a wonderful mother, so if I can be even a little bit like that, I think we'll be good."

With the star power, piles of money and top-notch connections Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have amassed in their short time together...odds are the baby will be just fine.
