There are just four episode left of HBO's Boardwalk Empire, before we say goodbye to all our favorite characters. Chalky White actor Michael K. Williams, also known for his role as Omar in The Wire, recently opened up about about letting go of the hit show.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “King of Norway,” reads:
“Chalky returns to Atlantic City on a quest for revenge. Meanwhile, Nucky sets up a meeting with Maranzano in New York when he's concerned about Luciano's future plans; and Margaret comes to an agreement with Carolyn Rothstein. In Chicago, Eli and a visiting June attend a dinner party hosted by Nelson and Sigrid. Also: A young Nucky tries to impress Mabel's father in 1897.”
With only four episodes left, the cast is starting to sing the move along blues. Chalky White actor, Michael K. Williams, recently spoke to MTV about how his role on Omar on The Wire prepared him for Boardwalk Empire:
“Chalky grew on me in a way that Omar may or may not have. I was a little more focused going into this show, a little more experience as to how to carry a reoccurring [SIC] character, like Chalky. I’m going to miss the work we did as a cast… I had no idea what I was dealing with when ‘The Wire’ ended. I got really sad, and I just didn’t understand. I got a little too attached to the show, to the character, to the co-workers. I didn’t know how to save a part of myself for the moving on process. I got drowned in a lot of sadness. This time around, I’m a little more mature. This is just a job. Jobs do end. It’s time to move on. I embrace it now.”
Check out the new episode of Boardwalk Empire tonight at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
