It is going to be one Sunny night on Fox. Not only is It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia's Kaitlin Olson guest starring on New Girl tonight, her on screen twin, Glenn Howerton (Dennis Reynolds) will be reprising his role as Cliff on The Mindy Project.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of The Mindy Project, titled "Crimes & Misdemeanors & Ex-BFs," reads:
“Mindy's tax woes could jeopardize the future of the practice, so she concocts a scheme to obtain Cliff's legal assistance to bail her out. Meanwhile, Peter and Jeremy compete for Lauren's affection.”
Last year, Glenn Howerton opened up to TV Guide about taking the role on The Mindy Project:
“I have the luxury of not having to work because I have a full-time job with Sunny still and I can financially afford to be a little bit pickier about what I choose. I think Mindy is a very, very different show from Sunny in many respects, but they're similar in the fact that they're both a little strange. And I actually mean that as a compliment, even though it may not sound like it. I like that there is something a little offbeat about it. ... There's this kind of mainstream component that's always been missing from Sunny and I think that's part of the reason why it's been more difficult for any of us to break out and do big things beyond Sunny. Although Charlie [Day] now, in the last couple of years, has been able to get some high-profile things which I think is long overdue.”
Be sure to check out the all new episode of The Mindy Project, tonight, at 9:30 p.m., after an all new New Girl.
