Now that HBO’s True Blood is dead and buried, vampire Pam actress, Kristin Bauer van Straten has found new life on Once Upon A Time. Straten will be reprising her role as the Sleeping Beauty villain, Maleficent, who thought was dead. However, we will have until the second half of the new season to see her action. Disney’s Frozen will be main theme this fall.
Once Upon A Time co-executive producer, Adam Horowitz, recently spoke to TV Line about the return of Kristin Bauer van Straten return to series as Maleficent:
“Kristin Bauer is someone we loved since we used her in the first season. We had an idea [for her return] and if you hang around and watch you’ll see what it is. But yeah, she’s a fun character to play with.”
Of course we will not see will have to wait until the second half of the season to see her. Once Upon A Time is continuing the split season theme shift seen in Season 3.
Horowitz' fellow producer and co-creator, Eddy Kitsis, chimed in what to expect from the first half of the season:
“‘Never give up on the people you love.’ To us, that was the main inspiration about Anna. We loved that she never gave up on Elsa, even though Elsa was willing to go off and live alone and let it go. Anna was like, ‘No, you’re my sister and I love you no matter what.’”
