Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is breaking out the guns for charity. Gronk attended a recent skeet-shooting competition for the Matt Light Foundation, a youth outreach program. And after three games this season, Gronk is ready to step up his game after recovering from knee surgery.
Gronk is a big target for quarterback Tom Brady, and could figure heavily this year in the Pats' quest to return to the Super Bowl. But he has to stay healthy if he wants to be "the guy" (via Washington Post):
"Obviously. I'm a football player. I don't want to go out to the game and be limited, so I always want to play as much as I can because I like being out there. So it's up to the coaches and when my number is called, I'm going to go out there."
But when Gronkowski isn't catching passes from Tom Brady, he is out shooting skeet for ex-teammate Matt Light's charitable organization, the Light Foundation (via TMZ):
"We're told the event raised more than $800k for Matt's charity -- which is dedicated to helping at-risk youth."
