San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick apparently lied about his use of inappropriate language against Bears DE Lamarr Houston, which resulted in a hefty fine. Referees flagged him after Kap reportedly called Houston the N-Word. The NFL has made it clear that they will not tolerate such abusive language on the field. You're supposed to wait until you get home and start beating your wife to talk like that. But Kaepernick's potty mouth is just another in a long line of mishaps for last year's NFC Runners-Up. They have been plagued with injuries and suspensions on their way to Sunday's week 3 loss to the Cardinals.
It really is a big joke that the NFL seems to care more about marijuana and swear words than domestic abuse (via Yahoo Sports):
"The Kaepernick story... probably shines a bigger light on whether inappropriate language needs to be monitored by NFL officials, who already have a tough time managing everything they need to keep an eye on. While the effort to get rid of racial slurs probably is wise for the NFL, does anyone really believe that bad words aren't said on the field during a football game?"
The 49ers, on the other hand, need to worry about holding on in crunch time. After their 23-14 loss to Arizona on Sunday, Niners fans are probably worried that Jim Harbaugh and his crew are about to implode (via Niners Nation):
"There's no denying that San Francisco has collapsed in the second half in each of the last two weeks. However, in no way does the outcome of two games outweigh multiple seasons' worth of evidence pointing the other direction."
