Do you the PS Vita, but crave a much larger screen? Well Sony has just the system for you. The company recently announced the release date for the new PlayStation TV. The system allows for gamers to play their favorite PS Vita titles on their TV’s, as well as enjoy a host of other feature. Nearly 700 games will be available at launch, including The Lego Movie The Video Game which comes bundled with some versions of the system.
The official PlayStation Blog has all the details on the new system, reporting:
“On October 14, you can pick up a PS TV starting at $99.99 (MSRP) for the standalone system, or $139.99 (MSRP) for the bundle that includes a Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK 3), 8GB memory card, and The LEGO Movie Video Game. For a limited time, you can find an exclusive PS TV bundle at Walmart, which comes with everything in the PS TV bundle plus Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, also for $139.99 (MSRP).”
At launch, nearly 700 games will available for the system. The blog goes to list a few of the titles available for the system:
Rayman Origins, Persona 4 Golden, God of War Collection, Killzone: Mercenary, FINAL FANTASY X / X-2 HD Remaster, Dragon’s Crown, Spelunky, FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: WAR OF THE LIONS, Metal Gear Solid, Patapon, Twisted Metal, Borderlands 2, Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom.
Unfortunately, because of the Duel Shock’s lack of touch and voice features, some PS Vita games will not be playable on the PSTV.
PS Vita owners will be able to use the same memory card for both systems, so long as the PSN accounts are the same.
