It looks like no one has benefited more from rampant divorce rumors than True Tori stars Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling. After Dean admitted to cheating on his wife (while the cameras were rolling), it was revealed that their hit reality show has been renewed for a second season. This has led many to wonder if the breakup rumors weren't staged to begin with.
It was recently revealed that Dean and Tori would be continuing their emotional (if staged) rollercoaster for audiences to enjoy. According to E! News, Season 2 will begin in late October:
"True Tori, Lifetime's docu-series about Tori Spelling and Dean McDermotts efforts to save their marriage after his cheating scandal, is returning for a second season. Season two, which will once again be eight episodes, will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 21. (Set your DVRs now!)"
Though media critics and viewers alike proclaimed that the show was totally fake, one thing that's undeniable were the show's ratings. Maybe that's why Lifetime was so quick to schedule Season 2.
In fact, filming began earlier in the month, and Mail Online has a sneak peak. According to the publication, this season will focus more on Tori's daily life and less on the whole cheating husband thing:
"She started filming the second season of her Lifetime show True Tori earlier this month...And it looks like Tori Spelling's fans are in for an interesting glimpse into her daily activities as an actress and mother-of-four...The Beverly Hills 90210 star was spotted being filmed as she accompanied daughter Stella, six, to a cheerleading class in Studio City on Saturday."
What do you think about the latest article? Are you excited that Tori and Dean will be returning for Season 2? Do you think that the first season was staged? If so, did you continue watching? Will you check out the upcoming season when it premieres in October?
