‘Gotham’ TV Show Series Premiere Spoilers: Penguin Robin Lord Taylor and Catwoman Camren Bicondova New Episode Updates [TRAILER]

Tonight is the night: The Batman prequel series Gotham premieres on Fox. The first two episodes of the new series will feature classic Batman characters The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Catwoman (Camren Bicondova). Check out the official trailer and plot previews below:

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s series pilot reads:

"Rookie detective James Gordon battles villains and corruption in the premiere of this action-adventure series set in pre-Batman Gotham City."

The Penguin, aka Oswalt Cobblepot, is one of the first villains we can expect to see in the new series. Recently, Robin Lord Taylor opened up to reporters about how he prepared for his new role, as ABC News Reports:

"I'm definitely influenced by Danny DeVito's performance [in the 1992 film Batman Returns] and even Burgess Meredith's performance [in the 1960s Batman TV series], but since we're starting with him as a younger kid, it was just [DC Comics] in particular that were incredibly valuable."

Taylor was given a few classic Penguin tales by DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, including Penguin: Pain and Prejudice, Batman: Earth One, and Secret Origins Special Vol. 2.

You can also expect to see a young Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in next week’s episode, aptly titled "Selina Kyle." The official plot preview for the second episode reads:

"A child-trafficking ring is investigated, and one of the victims is Selina Kyle. Elsewhere, Penguin blazes a bloody trail back to Gotham."

Check out the series premiere of Gotham tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox.
