After accused of being an alcoholic, Reese Witherspoon now faces allegations that she is getting a divorce. According to a recent tabloid report, the rumored breakup could have something to do with Reese's drinking, as well as money problems. This latest report comes after a video surfaced that shows a very drunk Reese Witherspoon getting arrested.
Things keep getting worse for one-time American sweetheart Reese Witherspoon. And now it appears that her marriage may be in trouble as well.
The September 29 print edition of Star decided to make Reese their cover story this week, predicting that Witherspoon will soon be getting a divorce from husband of three years, Jim Toth.
According to one insider, all they do is fight these days:
"Reese and Jim's relationship is definitely not in the best shape. They've been arguing constantly and spending a lot of time apart. It's almost like they're living separate lives...No one would be surprised if they announced a separation or divorce."
And that's not all the source revealed. According to the same insider, a lot of their fights revolve around drinking.
It's certainly no secret that Reese and Jim love drinking, but it seems like their love for the booze may cause more problems than it solves:
"Reese and Jim both love to have a good time, but on many occasions when they are drinking, one of them gets carried away, leading to a messy night of fighting and tears. You'd think after the trouble they've both been in with the law, they'd stop drinking. But that certainly isn't the case. They fight about it all the time."
Alcohol isn't the only reason the couple are reportedly bickering. Money may also be a factor.
Reese isn't having a great time when it comes to finances either. After all, she experienced quite a loss on a home she sold earlier this year.
According to Today, Reese lost nearly $1 million in the deal:
"Third time was the charm for Reese Witherspoon's Ojai ranch. It took three price cuts before the retreat snagged a buyer, who paid just $4,983,500. Witherspoon paid $5.8 million for the home in 2008."
Despite making a few of her own renovations, Reese had to drastically cut her initial listing price:
"When Witherspoon bought the home, she added her own design touches to the place, leading to magazine features of the ranch in both House Beautiful and Elle Décor. Shortly after the feature in Elle Décor, Witherspoon listed the home for $10 million. She ended up cutting the price to $8.9 million a few months later, then $7.25 million and, most recently, $5.9 million, before the home sold."
