The blushing groom-to-be, George Clooney, just couldn't help himself the other night when talking about his upcoming wedding to British fiancé Amal Alamuddin. Batman accidently let it slip that the nuptials were slated for this month in Venice, Italy, and now everyone is playing detective trying to figure out the deets. According to the latest gossip news updates, regardless of where the ER star and his possibly pregnant girlfriend tie the knot, Danny Ocean will be staring in a Downton Abby-related charity film in the U.K. come Christmas.
Believe it or not, rumor has it that not only has George Clooney managed to keep the overall wedding guest list tight despite the countless friends and family that would , no doubt, love to attend the event, but Hollywood's most eligible bachelor even has the tradition minded parents of the bride paying for it.
To hear Us Weekly's source for their September 29 issue tell it, those that are invited certainly will be impressed:
"[George] wanted just 60 genuine friends and family.
"It's all very classy...[and crazy enough, her family is paying for most of it!"
That should leave the unburdened actor with plenty of time to focus on his upcoming Downton Abby like role for the holiday.
According to Life & Style Magazine, Clooney is all set to camp it up for a charitable cause at Christmas:
"George Clooney is coming to Downton Abby!
"Well sort of: The actor, 53, will appear in a Downton-related charity film that will air on the show's U.K. network, ITV, as part of its annual Text Santa charity campaign."
When you're talking about picking up a class act like George Clooney...what self-respecting super-wealthy Lebanese father wouldn't be happy to fit the bill?
