Dean Ambrose is set to return to WWE action soon, but his exact return date hasn't been announced. Wouldn't it be delicious if he came back this Sunday at Night of Champions? For now everyone's tight-lipped, but Ambrose could make a big splash after his brief hiatus to film the movie Lockdown if he came back for the Pay-Per-View. The dissolution of the Shield has spawned a trio of singles superstars in the making, but how will the Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns match shake out if Dean Ambrose gets involved? What effect might Ambrose have on the storyline?
Everyone knows that Roman Reigns is the Chosen One right now. Many fans expect him to get a push heading into Wrestlemania XXXI. But some critics think that he will fizzle out before then (via Auburn Pub):
"The returns of the ascendant Dean Ambrose in the near future and the always popular Daniel Bryan in the next few months will pose a formidable challenge to Reigns' WWE-endorsed claim on the throne. Not only will they be fresh, but they'll likely stay that way longer, be it through Ambrose's manic energy or Bryan's inhuman workmanship. So it's nice to have something to look forward to."
Still, others feel that Rollins and Ambrose have unfinished business that will allow Reigns to move up the ladder so to speak, which would provide him with a needed boost (via Bleacher Report):
"It's no secret Reigns is being groomed as WWE's next top star. Once his temporary feud with Rollins has wrapped, he will likely move on to a more high-profile feud against a big name, probably Triple H."
No doubt, Reigns has charisma and looks, but he also has a limited move set and limited mic skills. He could use some fresh blood if he is to remain relevant enough to win the belt at 'Mania next year.
But Ambrose and Rollins both have the tools to be successful right now, or six months from now. They still have a few months of feuding left.
