Crazy Horse Neil Young Divorce: Dating Daryl Hannah Before Split; David Crosby Speaks Out? [PHOTO UPDATE]

It would seem that the divorce of Crazy House frontman, Neil Young, from his wife of 36 years, Pegi, is breaking CSN&Y bandmate David Crosby's heart of gold. Rumor has it that the former Yardbird actually called the Splash sex symbol a "poisonous predator." According to the latest gossip news updates, the 'Harvest' artist had actually been dating current girlfriend, Daryl Hannah, long before he made the split public. There is even talk that Neil went so far as to openly call Hannah his "girlfriend" while eliciting her opinion during the recording of every cut of the new album--perhaps, an insult to his music as well as his marriage.

Apparently, what Neil Young needed all these years was a mistress as well as a maid.

According to the latest rumors, not only is Neil Young through with his marriage to backup singer and wife, Pegi, after 36 years of marriage, word has it the Canadian folk music icon is dating 53-year-old Daryl Hannah--and has been for some time.

A source supposedly on the inside told People Magazine, that Young's relationship with Hannah has been an open secret for quite a while now:

"They've been dating for months...They've taken no effort to even hide it.

"He recorded a new album a few weeks ago, and she was on Skype the entire time, giving him feedback on every take. He even told people in the studio she was his 'girlfriend.' "

An insider who spoke with Star Magazine claimed in their latest September 29, issue, that it was Neil Young's love of nature that served as the catalyst for his infidelity:

"They share an interest in environmental activism.

"That's what planted the seed for their eventual romance."

It would seem that friend and fellow folk hero, David Crosby, doesn't care what role climate change played in the breakup--the whole thing just breaks his oversized heart (via Huffington Post):

"Thirty-seven years! That's a freaking miracle... And I happen to know that [Neil's] hanging out with somebody that's a purely poisonous predator now.

"And that's karma. He's going to get hurt. But I understand why it happened. I'm just sad about it. I'm always sad when I see love get tossed in the gutter."

Say what you will about those movie scores, but Randy Newman wouldn't pull this kind of crap.
