ABC might have Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but DC Comics is building an army of superhero shows on other networks. The CW has Arrow, The Flash, and iZombie. NBC, has the Hellblazer series, Constantine airing this year, and Fox is just days away from premiering the Batman prequel Gotham. Recently, it was announced that TNT was in talks to bring a Teen Titans series to life, and now another teen superhero is about to take off on yet another network. CBS has just ordered a series committee for a Supergirl TV show.
Supergirl is coming to the small screen. CBS has landed a series comment from CBS. DC Comics tweeted today, writing:
“Get excited because @CBS has ordered a Supergirl TV series”
The series commitment has been reported to bigger than the commitment Fox made for Gotham. The show will be helmed by Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler.
Warner Brothers and TNT are throwing around the idea of Teen Titans TV show. Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes will serve as producers.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting on the proposed pilot's plot:
“[Robin Dick Grayson] emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new Super Heroes including Starfire, Raven and many others. Titans is a dramatic adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book titles ever.”
